Ethernet connectivity for a serial port and digital in- and outputs
The HW group IP Relay ER02b connects a RS-232 / RS-485 port as well as 2 digital inputs (dry contact) and 2 digital outputs (relay 230 V / 16 A) to an Ethernet network.
The digital in- and outputs can be controlled via the protocols HTTP, Telnet or Modbus/TCP. The application HWg VSP (Virtual Serial Port), which provides a virtual COM-port driver, simulating a serial port on the PC, is included at no extra charge.
In Box-to-Box mode, 2 IP Relays can be connected via LAN, in order to tunnel the serial port’s signals and the I/O signals. This lets devices connected to the inputs of one IP Relay switch devices connected to the outputs of a second IP Relay.
The IP Relay ER02b is configured via a web interface.
