The Wiesemann & Theis Trap-Receiver reacts to SNMPv1-traps or Syslog-messages it receives from connected network devices by performing a predefined action. This lets the device inform remote recipients of occurring events via e-mail, SNMP, FTP or Syslog. Additionally, two integrated digital outputs can be used to activate lights or fans, for instance.
The Trap-Receiver is configured via a web-interface. The status is automatically updated and therefore always up to date. Current alarms can be cancelled via the web-interface or directly on the device, using the digital inputs.
The Trap-Receiver can be used as an external software-watchdog, as the digital outputs can be set up as pulse outputs.
The device can be powered by a power adapter or PoE.
