HW group: Damocles2 1208 Set
12 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs via Ethernet LAN
The HW group device Damocles2 1208 offers 12 digital inputs and 8 open collector outputs for remote control and monitoring via a network.
The digital inputs allow for the connection of sensors for smoke, gas, movement, water and door contacts. If used as 32-bit pulse counters, they can be employed to monitor gas-, water- and power-meters. The digital outputs can be used to control warning lights or sirens.
Damocles2 1208 can send customizable alert notifications via email or SMS (requires HWg-SMS-GW3 or the software HWg-Trigger) if an input’s status changes. The protocols SNMP, Modbus TCP/IP, MQTT and HWG-Push (SensDesk.com) are additionally available.
All gathered data is saved in the internal memory, from where it can be visualized by the integrated web interface or the software HWg-PDMS and exported to MS Excel. The internal memory further ensures that all data is safe even if a power shortage should occur. The device can be configured via a web browser or the application UDP Config.
If set to Box-To-Box mode, Damocles2 1208 can be connected to other Damocles or Poseidon units, in order to switch the outputs over any desired distance or to gather several devices’ outputs in one location.
Note: In contrast to the older version of Damocles 1208, this device requires a reversed polarity protection diode for the connection to an external relay. This modification makes it easier to connect the device to digital inputs.
