VLSI: VS1010 Miniature USB Headphone DAC Board

VS1010 as USB DAC and Headphone Amplifier

This small demo board shows how VS1010 can be used as a miniature USB DAC and headphone amplifier. In this operation mode VS1010 works like a standard USB audio device. No custom drivers are required in the host PC or device. However, custom firmware can be used to change the manufacturer ID.

  • Miniature USB to UART (3V CMOS level) serial adapter
  • Optional DC output voltage 5v (from USB) or 3.3v, 50...100mA
  • Supported by VSIDE development tools
