The VS1000 Audio Module is a small, low-cost, high performance and easy to use audio player that is controlled from the I/O pins, UART, SPI or USB. The module can be used as a "plug-in" audio board in electronic systems or as a standalone audio player. 2 MBytes Flash are available for custom firmware and audio date. In addition there is a microSD card connector for additional content.
This VS1000 Audio Module is an ideal choice for upgrading a system to be more user friendly. It can play spoken instructions, music, user manuals etc in multiple languages. Such applications are for instance lifts, ticket machines, vending machines and car accessories. Alternatively, the VS1000 Audio Module can be used as a small standalone player that is triggered by IO pins, UART or USB. These kind of applications are for instance alarm systems, PC accessories and Hi-Tech toys.
The firmware can be customized by using the free Integrated Development Tools VSIDE.
