HW group: Perseus Energy 285

Energy and environmental monitoring with M-Bus master and LTE backup.

Perseus Energy 285 records energy and environmental parameters and transmits the data either via LAN or the integrated LTE mobile connection.
The device supports 1-Wire UNI sensors, M-Bus meters and RS-485-based Modbus/RTU devices. Temperature, humidity, voltage and current can be measured via 1-Wire, while energy, water and gas meters are read via M-Bus or Modbus/RTU. The integrated M-Bus master supplies connected meters with power and reads their measured values. The RS-485 interface allows additional sensors or meters to be connected. Up to 100 sensors/meters and 1000 measured values can be managed.
A WLD input allows the connection of a leakage sensor cable. In addition, digital inputs for status messages and relay outputs for controlling external devices are available.
Compared to the Perseus Energy 242, the Perseus Energy 285 has expanded hardware connections: six 1-Wire UNI ports instead of four, four digital inputs instead of two, and two relay outputs instead of one.
The integrated LTE modem ensures reliable data transmission. Alarms can be sent via email, SNMP trap, or directly via SMS or voice call. Measured values are available via open interfaces and APIs such as XML, Modbus/TCP, MQTT, or SNMP, and the Meters Open API also allows data from other HW group devices to be integrated.
Using conditions and actions, schedules, virtual sensors and optional Lua scripts, Perseus Energy 285 evaluates measurement values, processes them and exports them as required. The SensDesk cloud platform can be used for centralised visualisation, alerting and archiving.
Perseus Energy 285 comes in a robust plastic housing and is powered by 230 V mains voltage.
